Gorgeous Vintage Wedgwood Embossed Queens Ware serving bowl! Marked 3N29 (November 1929). A hard-to-find piece! Wedgwood's "Queen's Ware" has a rich history, stemming from Josiah Wedgwood's innovative creamware and its patronage by Queen Charlotte. In 1759, Wedgwood began experimenting with cream-colored earthenware. He later perfected a durable and attractive creamware, which Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III, favored, calling it "Queen's Ware". This patronage not only elevated the brand but also made Wedgwood "Potter to Her Majesty".
