Wonderful 19th century antique wooden flax hetchel comb board. Good condition with great patina. Decoratively carved edges, dated 1858, and initials MPD. Measures 25" long x 4 3/4" wide, weighs 3 1/4 lbs. Purchased in Minnesota at a Norwegian farm estate sale. Used to split, straighten, and clean flax fibers before linen fabric production.
